All four humans end up in the Bad Place. All four humans change because they end up in the Bad Place together.

Eleanor, Chidi, Jason, and Tahani all choose to become better people, but just as important is the fact that they first found themselves in a situation that gave them the opportunity and support they needed to change. 

If nothing else, The Good Place teaches that sometimes, our greatest hope might be each other.
